Amber Bain, aka The Japanese House has shared a second taste of her forthcoming EP, Something Has To Change.
Following up the release of her debut album earlier in the year, Chewing Cotton Wool is a heart wrenching narration of the inability to escape the memory of a lost lover or loved one. Stripped back to just the raw emotion of Amber’s voice and downtempo synths; it’s a display of the maturity in Bain’s songwriting, and incredibly ability to capture emotion in her music.
The glimpses of Something Has To Change which Bain has so far provided see her at her very best. Filled with intelligence and honesty, the sound of The Japanese House is as warm as it is dark and filled with sadness, always leaving the listener wanting more.
