Stockport four piece No Hot Ashes, give us a glimpse of what’s to come from their upcoming album Hardship Starship with their new single W.Y.N.A..
A departure from their previous singles Goose and Easy Peeler, this single maintains the signature No Hot Ashes sound while depicting the monotony of an every day routine, maintaining the high energy riffs and speedy lyricism that they are known for. Accompanied by a video following the band in the most average of places, with frontman Isaac Taylor rolling through a day in the life and the rest of the band shadowing his day from a morning cuppa to a dog walk to a trip to the supermarket, this package perfectly achieves their aim of capturing their spin on the dull and repetitive nature of the day to day against the backdrop of a song that is anything but.
Relatable in an unpredictable way, these boys keep their fanbase on their toes while also maintaining and evolving an image and sound which has remained doubtlessly appealing since their emergence in 2014.
With a summer jam packed with festivals and a highly anticipated debut album set for August release, No Hot Ashes are asserting themselves as the ones to watch from the Manchester music scene. Their homecoming show at Manchester’s o2 Ritz is set to sell out in September, and with a live set as high energy and eclectic as they have been providing as so far, it is not a show to be missed.
