Genre spanning Manchester five piece URF have been busy proving their potential since their previous two releases, playing sets alongside the likes of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Bloody Knees and Tess Parks to name but a few. Now, with a performance at Manchester Psych Fest around the corner, the band have shared another taste of their intriguing sound.
Solitude combines haunting atmosphere with deep grooves and a driving beat; making for a dramatic take on shoegaze. Fronted by Abbi Parcell’s spine tingling vocals, URF’s sound is ambient yet packs one hell of a punch. The five piece have a knack for creating multi-dimensional tracks which set them apart from the usual Manchester music scene, simultaneously creating intrigue into how much more they can do.
