Hampshire indie-pop trio Blaenavon have made their highly anticipated return, with new music in the form of Catatonic Skinbag, and a string of live dates (including a slot at Liverpool Sound City).
Catatonic Skinbag deals with isolation. It’s personal on so many levels, with lead singer Ben explaining that it’s about pretending to not only others but to yourself that things are ‘ok’ when they’re clearly not. It’s relatable in the way that as a listener we sit back and preach to what he’s identifying. Delivered with such energy, the anxious track has two different sides. The one side being false and the other being real. Filled with adrenaline and personality, this will surely get you up on the dance floor having a well deserved boogie to dust off the apprehension.
