Brighton’s Safe To Swim are no strangers to infectious indie pop. With four soaring singles behind them, support slots for the likes of The Night Cafe and Anteros, and performances at The Great Escape, Truck and Y Not festivals behind them, it’s hardly surprising that their new track Friends is a big’un.
Inarguably their best yet, Friends is just over three minutes of stupidly catchy, punch packed indie goodness. The fifth release from the quartet sees them sway to a slightly rockier side of their sound; yet the infectiousness of it’s chorus and the sound of frontman Jim Filippides’ vocals remain instantly recognisable as that band we’ve been so excited about over this past year.
