For those of you hoping and praying for the return of the sun-filled, dreamy days that are now a distant memory, Brighton’s very own Chappaqua Wrestling came back this August with the answer to your prayers. Plant Trees is the follow up to their fantastic debut Ep 1, and their talent just continues to grow.
Plant Trees itself is the definition of catchy. With an almost abrupt introduction, you dive straight into Charlie Woods’ and Jake Mac’s world of fleeting, summer days with a soundtrack of laid-back guitars and soft beats to keep you company.
The origins of the band are clear to see throughout Plant Trees. Influences like the Beach Boys team up with the beachy vibes of their hometown, plus a melancholic lilt to the soft sounding vocals, giving it the perfect bitter-sweet sound.
