Now in it’s 15th year, Liverpool Music Week has just announced it’s line up for 2017. Having won the award for Best Metropolitan Festival at last years UK Festival Awards, LMW returns on 26th October, kicking off it’s opening night with the biggest opening night in the event’s history; Chic feat. Nile Rodgers at the Liverpool Echo Arena.
With the festival stretching to the 4th of November, there’s sure to be a band for everyone to see. Despite this being the first announcement, with plenty more to come there’s already plenty to be excited about. Buyers Club will see Childhood take to their stage following the release of their incredible new album Universal High, while the delightful sounds of Gengahr will fill The Magnet.
This year DIY’s Breaking Out stage moves to EBGB’s to host Girl Ray, Goat Girl, Spinning Coin and Little Cub, with plenty more bands set to join them. 2016’s DIY stage saw some of this years best breakthrough acts play Arts Club Loft, including the Mercury Prize nominated The Big Moon. There’s no doubt that this years acts will be the next big thing, LMW is your chance to catch them before their careers really take off.
