Amongst an influx of new indie-pop bands are Merseyside’s Panda Cult. The energetic four piece have already secured support from BBC Introducing in Merseyside as well as a slot at Hope & Glory Festival, setting them up for the release of their new single Blue Angel.
Packed with 80s sounding funky riffs, Blue Angel is a mature sounding track for such a young band. Panda Cult have created a chilled sound capable of getting heads nodding. The mix of funky riffs with chiming synth sounds along the lines of The 1975 crossed with Marsicans, creating the perfect hazy summer feel which is bound to capture some attention in the future.
