The Snuts - Fatboy Slim

Following a run of sold-out shows and floor-stomping releases, Scottish born band The Snuts have cemented their place within the UK’s most upcoming bands. Their newest release, Fatboy Slim is A homage to Fatboy Slim’s infamous set on Brighton beach fifteen years ago, a concert that was described by The Telegraph as “Chaos”.

The track uses sampled drum loops and electronica, which appears to be a far cry from their trademark indie rock. However, it follows preceding single All Your Friends which hinted at the former Housemartin’s hook-heavy, party-friendly tracks, with its vintage hip-hop backbeat embedded in the chorus. Although an unexpected surprise for fans, this new release’s catchy lyrics, and groovy hooks are enough to drag anyone to the dance-floor. Fatboy Slim also displays the group's adoration for the 90’s subculture with lyrics such as “If you want that old school beat. You gon' get it from me”.
