The Crowleys - Simple Reflection

Following on from their bright and uplifting single Clarice near the end of last year, Canadian outfit The Crowleys are now back with their latest dose of smooth and silky psychedelic pop, Simple Reflection.

Speaking about their new offering, drummer and lyricist Stuart Downie said, ’Simple Reflection’ examines how events that can spark the longing of a time since passed can come from the most surprising of places. ‘Simple Reflection’ observes a collection of fond memories amid the chaos. It explores the human ability to juxtapose nostalgia with the reality of a culture in crisis.”

With its light and breezy tones, the five-piece take cues from the likes of Glass Animals and Toro Y Moi to deliver a fresh and sun-kissed offering which makes for the perfect accompaniment to laid-back days, chilling on a lonely beach. Filled with spiked and 80s-inspired synths, this new release looks to encapsulate the bold and reassured direction they have been taking lately.
