The Big Moon
London four piece The Big Moon take the fields this year and after the resounding success of their 2017 debut album Love in the 4th Dimension, these girls are not one to be missed. Bringing a rock element to soft and emotional lyricism, The Big Moon are an exceptional example of what women have been bringing to indie rock scene in recent years. Coming off the back of supporting the likes of the Maccabees and the Vaccines, these girls have a summer packed with festivals, bringing their live show to Y Not, Lattitude and Benicàssim as well as Kendal Calling this year in preparation for the release of their second album, which is bound to be as great as the first.
Red Rum Club
Self described as ‘Scouse Americana’, Red Rum Club released their triumphant debut album Matador this year. This six piece have already mastered their own take on the genre, incorporating trumpet from player ‘Joe the Blow’ in curating an individual sound that stands up to both recorded listening as well as a stunning live set. These boys are bound for great things, and with a 2019 jam packed full of shows and festivals, including Glastonbury and Truck, it is no doubt that they are here to stay.
After a 2018 spent garnering huge support, with incredible headline spots in venues such as Manchester’s O2 Ritz and the Garage, London, this Northern three piece will be celebrating the success of their debut album in the fields this year. With a soft indie sound reminiscent of Vampire Weekend and Sundara Karma, Cassia create the perfect soundtrack to a summer of festivals, making this environment the perfect place to catch them if you haven’t before.
