CLOSEUP Festival: The Preview Playlist

It may only be February, but the sun is out and that can mean only one thing; festival season is rapidly approaching.

Now, as much as we all love to neck pints in a sunny, most likely soggy field, we mustn’t forget the hassle free fun of a good inner city festival. Lacking the need for wellies, sleepless nights and portaloos, CLOSEUP Festival returns for it’s third year on 18th May at London’s Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen.

Promising a total of twenty of the finest emerging indie and electronic artists across two days and two stages, 2019 is set to see CLOSEUP Festival grow at the same rapid pace as CloseUp’s many other projects.

With nine artists already announced, we asked the CloseUp team to pick their favourite tracks from each of the announced artists to form the CLOSEUP Festival Playlist; all of which you can listen to below.

Tickets for CLOSEUP Festival are on sale now, for more information see here.

Childcare - Omega Grey

After their stand-out 2018 Saturday performance, LDN indie-pop outfit Childcare return to CloseUp Festival to headline the brand new Friday night of CUF. Bringing the party vibes to Hoxton Square B&K, their unique blend of punchy basslines and clever lyrical witticism has seen them become one of the most original and talked about bands in the UK right now.

Little Cub - Too Much Love

Headlining 'The Green Room' stage of CloseUp Festival's notorious Saturday is electronic trio Little Cub. With a debut album via Domino under their belts, they return to their hometown with new music & a notorious live set. Don't miss one of the most exciting acts on the entire lineup.

Saltwater Sun - Making Eyes

FEMME - Be Shy

Shanghai Blues - Lies

Violet - Heaven Adores You

Wyldest - Headrush

Sølv - Codeine

Me & The Moon - It's Alright
