Sly Antics - Deaf Institute - 20/5/17
To tie in with the release of their new single Motion, Alternative/Indie band Sly Antics held a single launch party at Manchester's Deaf Institute.
The three local lads, made up of "two cousins and their mate Chris" started off the set with some of their older releases which was a great hit with the crowd. The three lads had high levels of energy throughout the gig and this definitely transferred onto the crowd, not taking long for people to start singing and dancing along to the songs. Even though the room wasn't completely full, the guys filled it with their sound through the great riffs and heavy guitar and still showed that they have great stage presence and know how to get people moving, making them seem like they definitely belong up on that stage. All of the band members engaged with the crowd a number of times and expressed the bands' appreciation of everyone who turned out to see them, proving how humble these guys are.
Overall I was happy with my first experience of seeing Sly Antics live and I'm definitely excited to hear more releases from them and see them play bigger venues.
Sly Antics are playing this years Dot To Dot festival so if you've got tickets I definitely recommend getting down to see them.
